The restriction
s of getting everything you want
Given the circumstance I got a full scholarship to Ascham, how much mental anguish do you think you would suffer?
From experience, I would have to say a lot.
It's true, I got the letter yesterday informing me of the above. Now all I have to do is make a decision, with Monday noon as my deadline. I was studying AU at the time, so it was either (or both) a distraction and an opportunity to procrastinate (in fact, I'm procrastinating as I type - 1000 word English essay due tomorrow morning). The problem is straightforward: Do I stay at SGHS, or do I go to Ascham. Both routes have their merits, and I don't think I would have a particularly easier time at either of them.
Firstly, if I go to Ascham, I'll have to start again. Learn everyone's names, find a niche, learn where all the rooms are, learn a new neighbourhood and transport route. The benefits are thus: certainly, a wildly different plan of day-to-day learing, and also get educated in a place that could double as a movie set for... (more)

God is dead
...or probably just a woman who looks like Alanis Morrisette. Ü
I just watched Dogma by the genius Kevin "Silent Bob" Smith about half an hour ago. Thank God to torrents again, woohoo!
I am a Catholic, or should I say, part-time Catholic. I'm not really proud of that nor ashamed of being such. I'm not turning into an atheist. I'm not also against the Catholic Church. I'm just being me. And God, with his never-ending love and omnipotence, understands that. I still believe in Him (or whoever or whatever there is up there who has some supreme power over tiny creatures like me) but the whole religion thng and all the shit around it just makes me sick. I still go to church sometimes, but I'm not religious. Well, about 90% of people who go to church are not that religious either so I'm not the only one. Most of them just go to church just to tell other people that they go to church, instead of living up the teachings of Jesus Christ. That's why I'm not too fond of going to church because... (more)

GM downsizing engines,
launches two new compact turbos
GM has taken heed of people’s wishing for a smaller, extra reasonably
priced engine along with newly-developed two high
performance engines for its worldwide markets. The latest engines loaded with a
fresh 1.4-liter petrol brand as well as a 1.6-liter Compressed Natural Gas or CNG set, and soon to be rolled out in GM’s creation automobiles
over the upcoming 12 months.
The two engines are compacted four-cylinder items that operate
turbochargers to build up for their need of displacement. The petrol unit
distributes an 8% fuel consumption reduction matched to a logically aspirated tank
engine with similar or the same productivity of 120hp headed for 140hp.
The 1.6 liter CNG component on the other hand is extra powerful compare to its
smaller petrol unit, mixing out a projected 150hp plus 210 Nm of performance.
Furthermore, it cuts CO2 discharges more or less 25% once evaluated to the same
way of great petrol engine unit. The CNG or Compressed Natural Gas will... (more)
